You don't have a dedicated marketing team member or leader and you need a point person that acts as an extension of your team to free up time for company leadership as projects dictate or on an ongoing basis.
You have a marketing team of 1-10 folks with or without a manager and need extra help when it is busy with discreet projects, certain parts of the mix, coaching junior staff or a little bit of everything.
You just got Marketo, Hubspot or something else, or the person who managed it left, you want to do more with marketing automation and/or you or your CFO is wondering what the heck you are paying for exactly and the underlying sales process or enablement isn’t ideal.
You're an SMB looking for an experienced director/VP/SVP/CMO who can be strategic but also roll up their sleeves and get things done for 3-12 months full-timeish for 20-40 hours/week before or until you hire someone.
You're a recruiter whose client needs some extra help holding down the fort stat while you find the right permanent marketing hire or to complement the hire who comes on board (or because it's that busy).
You're an education technology or IOT/AI/ML/data company looking for someone who understands the marketing mix and how it applies to who you serve today and tomorrow.

Basically not as cheap as an intern but you'll get none of the overhead of a large agency. I work hard with each prospective client to understand the best way to engage before we collaborate and as relationships, markets and companies evolve. I bring marketing mix know-how and marketing and sales operations expertise from B2B, B2C and B2I clients across a variety of industries. I’m at once strategic, tactical, creative and data-driven because we know your goal is to get results.
I let you guide how process-oriented you want to be, adapting to the communication channels, documentation preferences and project management systems that work for you. I work with your internal and external team, vendors and experts or I can bring in or recommend my own.
I believe it's important to do less and do it better and go deeper to get the most potential return on investment and return on objective. Too often marketing and sales teams try to do too much too thinly – and 100% of 5% of yourself only goes so far. Let’s not half-ass things.

My official training is in acting, theatre and English. My workplace roots are in customer success, sales and account management – applied now across all (mostly B2B) go-to-market operations. Creative and communications work merged with marketing automation and working smarter over time – layered across a firm product marketing foundation that’s always WIIFM/customer-centric. My teams and I have led significant gains in marketing effectiveness, reputation and funnel momentum to help organizations, startups, SMBs and new initiatives scale.
After nearly a decade in academia, educational nonprofits and ed tech and services innovating in and heading up marketing, sales and CS, I spent a decade working with 75+ clients across the wide world as a fractional CMO/CRO, GTM advisor and RevOps consultant to drive growth. As time passed, and amid COVID, I returned in-house and focused increasingly on IIoT, IoT, digital transformation, future of work, industry 4.0, manufacturing, data, automation, industrial and AI/ML, returning to fractional work and consulting in 2024.
I not only love theatre but also travel and fuzzy dogs. I grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts; I still adds r's where they don't exist at the end of words but take them away far less often. (And I just used a semicolon and started a sentence with "and"). Bold. After a decade in NYC – followed by 6ish great years Hoosiering it up in the Midwest in Bloomington, Indiana – I can now be found in Fondren in Jackson, Mississippi, with my very own very fuzzy dog and a somewhat-less-fuzzy-but-super-adventurous-Titanic-and-trains-loving-wannabe-YouTube-star-fifth-grader son.
